Drawing human faces can be a daunting task… but it doesn’t have to be! In this workshop for adults and kids (ages 12+), we will learn how to draw simple portraits of the human head by going step-by-step and breaking them down into basic shapes and lines to get the proportions and map out the facial features. Led by Andrew Arvan, an artist and animator local to the Redondo Beach area and an alumni of Otis College of Art and Design.

Wonderful Benefits of Drawing: Along with strengthening motor skills and hand-eye coordination, drawing is incredibly rewarding. Through enough time and practice it becomes a fantastic creative outlet, a great way to de-stress, and provides a huge boost to your mood and visual communication skills!

This is a 1.5 hour class.

Materials Provided: Paper, pencil, eraser, step-by-step guides, and sometimes photo references.

This workshop is perfect for new artists, seasoned artists, couples, friends, colleagues, group bonding, families, networking, meeting new people, and scratching that creative itch.

Please note this in person class is limited to 8 students per session.
