Have you ever wondered "what is crochet?" or "how do I make one of the ubiquitous granny squares?" Join us for a fun, guided project you can complete start-to-finish during our 2-hour session, and feel proud of your new skill.  Learn the basics of granny squares while making a charming Valentine's Day-inspired crochet heart. 

No prior crochet experience required. Ages 13+.

Limited to 8 seats total.

The class fee includes all supplies needed. Reserve your spot today. 

Materials Provided:  The kit includes a US 8/H crochet hook and enough thick and squishy yarn to make a 7" by 9" Heart. Yarn is available in multiple colors.  If you book before Monday, February 9th, you can pick your Heart color. Please select Hot Pink, Dusty Rose, or Speckled White. We will be using yarn with wool content. (A wool-free yarn is available on request) PLEASE NOTE: After 2/9, colors are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Scissors and darning needles will be available at the workshop. 

About Your Instructor: Yelena Babinskaya (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist who has been an active member of the entertainment community for the past 20 years. Originally from Odesa, Ukraine, she has worked as a lighting, scenic, and costume designer and as an educator throughout the country. She brings her passion for teaching and fiber arts to the Artist Mill, with a genuine intent to connect the meditative practice of crochet with the joy of gathering in community.  social media: IG @y.babinskaya X @babinskaya
